Higher Education Leadership

I have a decade of experience as a higher education leader, serving as manager, senior manager, Director, and Associate Dean at one of the largest universities in the United States. My work in these roles has spanned team leadership, program management, strategic planning, curriculum design, and partnership development. I have expertise in organizing and managing projects with valuations exceeding $2.5 million and serving thousands of students. I am known as a leader who delivers programs on time and on budget while introducing significant innovations.

Data Analytics

I have designed, developed, and launched decision intelligence workflows that drive statistically significant causal improvements in course completion rates and assessment attempt rates. These workflows currently support hundreds of faculty and tens of thousands of students across dozens of courses. The workflows combine business logic, large language models, machine learning, and human-in-the-loop actions that form integrated learning systems to automatically improve recommendations over time.

I have experience in all stages of the data analytics life cycle, including sourcing and cleaning data, exploratory data analysis, model development, data visualization and reporting, and deployment. I have developed using langauge and platforms including SQL, Python, R, Tableau, PowerBI, Databricks, and AWS. I have applied these skills both within the higher education framework as well as to environmental concerns and questions.

Ecology and the public sphere

I am a committed environmentalist who is actively working to mitigate the effects of climate change. I testify at Department of Fish and Wildlife Commission meetings, develop analytics and donor management systems for local wildlife nonprofits, and continue to learn about the latest science and technology advancing ecology and environmental management.
